Jesse Cook
Platinum selling World Music guitar sensation Jesse Cook had a fantastic year in 2007 – it marked the released of his sixth studio album Frontiers–which debuted at #1 on the World Music Charts and held the position for three weeks!
The album features Jesse’s incredible rumba flamenca style guitar which he is renowned for. Inspired by summers spent in Arles, France and the sounds of Manitas des Planta and neighbors, The Gypsy Kings, Jesse studied guitar at the famed Eli Kassner Guitar Academy in Toronto. Jesse honed his skills at festivals and performances around the world working with the likes of UK celebs Charlotte Church and The Chieftans along the way. Though he’s won countless awards, for Jesse concerts remain his lifeblood and at the age of 43 he’s really only just getting started.
In 2008, Canada’s Music Awards (the Juno’s) nominated Frontiers for World Music Album of the Year and “One Night at the Metropolis” for Music DVD of the Year!
