TASTE OF CANADA

Taste of Canada is an opportunity to experience uniquely Canadian food and drink.  With a selection of delicious options, Canada Day in London has something for everyone to devour. Have a beer, grab a coffee and donut or eat a tasty bison burger with some poutine on the side.  Last year celebrity chef David Adjey, host of the Food Network show, The Opener  hosted live cooking demonstrations in the Square.

Keep checking back for updates on what Canadian chef will cook in the Square this July 1st!

Molson Canadian

Molson Canadian is an easy drinking premium lager with true Canadian taste that delivers the perfect balance of sweetness with a slightly hoppy bitterness and medium body for a smooth, refreshing finish. Made with the best this land has to offer: Canadian water, prairie barley and no preservatives for a clean, crisp, fresh taste. Have yourself a pint at Canada Day in London!

At big thank you to last year’s food and beverage sponsors.

Sleeman

Beer has a special place in the heart of Canadians and takes centre stage at hockey events, summer barbeques and nights out on the town. Canada has a proud brewing history and Sleeman’s  is proud to support Canada Day in London.

Tim Horton’s Cafe

Tim Hortons coffee and donuts are coming to London! Be prepared to rediscover your addiction to the world’s greatest coffee when Canada Day in London brings Timmy’s to you.

Manoucher Bread

Mr. Manoucher, the man who transformed the face of bread, will be in Trafalgar Square on Canada Day. Sample delicious bread at the Taste of Canada pavilion or pick up a hand made loaf at the merchandise tent.

Mission Hill Winery

Located in the heart of British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, Mission Hill Family Estate is an internationally awarded family-owned winery. Majestic mountains, scenic lakes, and lush orchards encase the winery’s dramatic architecture and culminate in a setting that celebrates wine, food, and the arts. With sustainable practices that ensure care for the environment, and a timelessness that respects the family’s European heritage, guests experience the height of winemaking in a location that epitomizes luxury.

Some delicious Canadian treats from Canada Day 2011. This year will be even more delicious!

Poutine

Originating in rural Quebec, Canada, in the late 1950s, Poutine has long since been a Canadian favourite.  This delicious dish is made up of French fries topped with fresh cheese curds, covered with flavourful gravy. This mouth-watering treat is a Canada Day in London favourite!

Bison Burger

This delectable burger is not only flavourful but in fact a leaner red meat with more protein than beef. Bison are raised naturally without the use of growth hormones, stimulants, antibiotics or animal by-products. Don’t miss your chance to try a Bison Burger at Canada Day in London!
